PREVIOUS EVENTS

It was a very busy week for Donsö Maritime Training Centre AB.
We are now preparing for our first Ice Navigation course as per OCIMF SIRE 2.0 in partnership with Viking Supply Ships (Viking Ice Academy), and the simulator exercises looks great – it’s amazing to see how far the Wärtsilä Marine simulator technique and development has taken us, it’s very close to the reality.
We had also another event for More Alliance. Very interesting company with great visions. We hosted in total 40 persons in two batches and there were a lot fun and they left DMTC in good spirit😀.

The presentation included mentoring, coaching, feedback, self awareness, the importance to identify Your strengths as a leader but also what You as a leader are ”less good at”, how to be able to develop, and Your enemy within – Your ego, which may be an obstruction to increase Your leadership skills.
Welcome to DMTC.

The event included, among other things, a presentation of the shipping history of Donsö. What the shipping companies on Donsö has achieved and the entrepreneurship and continuous efforts to push the technique and environmental work forward is unique. The little island of Donsö is a great asset to the shipping, not only for Sweden but also globally.

Just back from spending two great days at Donsö Island on the Swedish West Coast. It is an amazing environment where only 1500 people live but it’s by far Swedens biggest shipping cluster and Vibrates with the investments happening there.
Thank you to Joakim Vonasek and Donsö Maritime Training Centre for hosting the board and showing us your world leading simulator.

DMTC had the pleasure of hosting a visit from WISTA Sweden during their two day annual meeting in Gothenburg.
It was great to see that many female participants (35!) that are associated to the Shipping Industry together on the same time 😀.
We had planned some fun and games in the simulator but we had also a presentation of the importance of creating a culture with constructive feedback including mentoring/coaching in the organisations/companies to enhance personal and team development.

Årets bästa dag är över! 👨💻
Den stora Företagsbesöksdagen 2023 – vilken enorm succé! I alla fall om ni frågar mig.
👷🚧👩🏭🔨💼👨💼

DMTC is very pleased to inform that we have completed our first event.
The event with CM Hammar AB included a Company Specific presentation of Safety at Sea and various Simulator Scenarios (Search and Rescue, Navigating with Cargo Vessels in Gothenburg Port, Ship Handling with our Virtual Reality Simulator etc).
